code of conduct
Paradise Music Festival is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all attendees, volunteers, performers, vendors, and staff.
This Code of Conduct applies to all Paradise events, including the annual festival and all related gatherings.
Our Commitment to Inclusivity, Consent & Safe Spaces
Paradise is a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability, or background.
We are committed to:
Respect & Inclusivity – Treat everyone with kindness, dignity, and respect.
Consent – Always ask for and receive explicit consent before engaging in physical, verbal, or social interactions. No means no. Silence is not yes.
Safe Spaces – We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or violence of any kind. Everyone has the right to feel safe and enjoy the festival.
Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviours will not be tolerated at Paradise events:
Harassment & Discrimination
This includes:
Hate speech, racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or ableist remarks.
Unwanted comments about someone’s appearance, identity, or background.
Sexual Harassment & Assault
Consent is mandatory – ALWAYS. Any form of unwanted touching, sexual advances, catcalling, or predatory behaviour is strictly prohibited.
Physical or Verbal Aggression
Violence, threats, or intimidation of any kind.
Intoxicated & Disorderly Conduct
If your behaviour endangers yourself or others, you may be removed from the event.
Disruptive behaviour includes being obnoxiously loud during quiet hours.
Breach of Festival Rules
Bringing prohibited items (alcohol, glass, illegal substances, weapons).
Unauthorized entry or failure to follow festival security instructions.
Reporting & Support
Paradise is committed to transparency, accountability, and action.
How to Report a Concern
If you experience or witness misconduct, there are several ways to report it:
Anonymous Reporting
We understand that not everyone feels comfortable reporting concerns in person. To ensure that all voices are heard, we’ve created a Feedback & Support Form under the Contact menu of our website.
Reports of harassment, sexual misconduct, or assault must be made through our confidential REES reporting platform and cannot be submitted via email or the anonymous form. The anonymous form can be used for all other Code of Conduct concerns or general feedback.
Confidential Reporting
Submit a report safely and anonymously using our year-round REES reporting platform: REES (Respect, Educate, Empower Survivors). REES allows you to document an experience, access support resources, or choose to share your report with event organizers.
Speak with a Harm Reduction Volunteer (easily identifiable at the event).
Report directly to festival security or staff at the Harm Reduction Tent.

If a report does not indicate a violation of the Code of Conduct, no formal action may be taken, though we may still explore alternative ways to support the people involved.

Increased supervision or monitoring

Removal of the individual from the event, with immediate denial of re-entry
A temporary or lifetime ban from future events
