Our Vision, Mission & ValueS
Paradise has never been just about music.
It’s a space for transformation, expression, and connection — rooted in community and creativity, and shaped by the land and people of the Yukon.
As we grow, it’s important that we stay grounded in who we are and what we believe. Our vision, mission, and values are more than words. They guide how we show up for each other, how we make decisions, and how we carry this festival forward, year after year.
Whether you’re an artist, a volunteer, a board member, a vendor, a dancer, or a first-time attendee — this is our shared foundation.
This is what makes Paradise… Paradise.
Vision
Paradise is a place where music, art, and community unite to create lasting transformation, within ourselves and the world around us.
MISSION
Paradise is a curated, non-profit music festival and arts organization rooted in the Yukon. We create safe, inclusive spaces that celebrate and promote electronic music and self-expression, through dance, performance, and community connection under the midnight sun.
VALUES
Everyone is Welcome.
We embrace people of all identities, backgrounds, and experiences. Paradise is a place where everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and celebrated.
Art is Transformation.
From music to movement, from visual art to immersive experiences, creative expression is the heartbeat of Paradise. We celebrate bold, diverse, and experimental art in all its forms, even when it challenges us.
Safety is Sacred.
We commit to emotional, physical, and psychological safety as a foundation for creative expression and community connection. Harm reduction, consent culture, and care for one another make it possible to dance, create, and transform together.
Community is Everything.
Paradise exists because of the community around it. We honour our volunteers, artists, and attendees and work to build meaningful, lasting connections and memorable experiences.
Respect the Land.
We gratefully gather on the ancestral lands of the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council and the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and honour the Tagish Kwan as the original people of this area. We are committed to caring for this place with respect, sustainability, and deep gratitude.
Evolve with Intention.
Paradise is always growing. We stay open to feedback, commit to transparency, and adapt with intention, grounded in our values and inspired by change.
Collaboration Over Competition.
We lift up other festivals, events, and collectives. When one of us thrives, we all do. We believe in sharing resources, ideas, and inspiration.
Local Roots, Global Vibes.
Paradise could only exist here, shaped by the midnight sun, the northern lights, and the spirit of the North. We promote and celebrate Yukon talent and culture while welcoming diverse voices, artists, and sounds from across Canada and beyond.
